La Peste is a collaborative book of images by BIRD OV PREY (Jorden Haley) and VACANT STATE (Marco Palumbo-Rodrigues), both represented in their signature stark black and white graphic style.

Each artist has contributed a total of 50 images, alternating throughout the book. Perfectly complementing one other, the works are a mix of occult / punk / anti-authoritarian / fetishistic themes (and overall often with a touch of dark humor).

Although containing no narrative, the images flow from one page to the next for a seamless graphic journey and are preceded by a forward by the esteemed Alex Virji.

The book itself is an A5 (148mm x 210mm or approx. 6” x 8” ) sized black fabric textured hardcover with black stamping on the front, back and spine. The interior pages are black and white printed graphics on luxe matte stock.

The COVID-19 Pandemic absolutely destroyed 2020.
But as we always do, tattoo artists found a way to create something amazing to get through it.
Published by Andromeda Arts, this book is a collection of 156 pages of Pandemic related art from artists all over the world!
They used their skill to create artwork ranging from comedic all the way to dramatic.

Tattooing is a folk art. We are pirates of imagery. These designs are not only from my head, but some were stolen, borrowed, inspired, (whatever you want to call it) by some of my favorite artist and tattooers.
The ones who have inspired me the last 15 years. If you put your tattoo imagery out there for the world to see, it simply becomes tattoo flash/reference at that point. Whether it is applied to the skin, drawings, paintings, or flash.

I put this book out in hopes that you steal, borrow, or be inspired by my imagery.

While Attorney Albert Morse was representing cartoonists in the Bay Area, he noticed the similarity between cartoon characters and tattoo designs. Preliminary research turned up little information or photographs about the art of tattooing. Photographer Morse immediately saw the visual potential and begin his three years of research on tattooists and their art, culminating with the publication of 'The Tattooists.'

He compiled over 100 hours of taped interviews with 50 tattooists and photographed more than 100 American tattooists. He looked into the known history, collected designs and found many other interesting artifacts connected with tattooing.

"Volume 1 and two are random works from 2007-20018. I split this collection into two books to make them more affordable for people, but there is an even mix of sexy and fucked up shit in both volumes, and neither is better than the other, since they were both created at once. Some of it is hand drawn with caveman pencils or inks on actual paper, and some of it was drawn digitally."

The unearthing of authentic celluloid acetate stencils, a project undertaken by Long Island tattoo shopowner and memorabilia collector Cliff White, continues. About the Author:

Mark Blackburn has been under the spell of the Polynesian Islands for twenty years, building one of the finest Polynesian art collections and libraries. He runs a successful import business in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and has a second home and art gallery in Hilo, Hawaii.

A year in the making, "She's the One" is tattoo artist Kate Collins's collection of punk rock inspired portraits, featuring line drawings and full color renderings of over 30 women - each piece deriving inspiration from a different punk song.

Standout songs include The Ramones' "Sheena is a Punk Rocker," X-Ray Spex's "Oh Bondage, Up Yours!," and The Vibrators' "Baby, Baby."
