This is Pop Surrealism, an art movement which has developed out of modern pop culture and the surreal, timeless world of myths, fables, nightmares and dreams. After invading art galleries and exhibitions, Pop Surrealism is now taking over tattoo conventions.

Ania Tomicka

Ania Tomicka was born in Poland in 1985 and has lived in Italy since she was 9 years old. She has always loved to draw and while she was at school she began using oil paints – still her favourite medium – later training and perfecting her skills at the Academy of Fine Art. Then she turned over a new leaf and freed her visions with her brush.

This collection is dedicated to her adorable designs: her version of Pop Surrealism is gentle, fairy-like and romantic, yet unexpectedly sharp and sarcastic. There are bittersweet dreams and nightmares, unexpected and often shocking combinations – delicate but macabre little girls, evil bunnies and other strange visions... – which will capture your heart and blow your mind.
