This whitewash system allows artists to achieve a smoother gray value with less effort. Many artists add a few drops of white into their graywash. This helps you get a more deliberate value, without needing to build it up through layers. You can expect consistent ink that heals similar to an opaque gray but goes into the skin like a graywash.
Graywash: Where it all started.
Tattoo artists worldwide have turned to using premixed gray wash. Larger batches offer undeniable consistency. Empire Inks heals beautifully in cool tones, causing stark contrast between warm skin tones and cooler bluish grays of the inks.
White: The final step.
Empire spent a lot of time researching different formulas and pigments to help them create a strong white that can be used for both highlights and mixing.
Classic Black: The foundation.
Empire Inks Black was formulated as a cooler black, contrasting well with warm skin tones while maintaining a medium viscosity.
Ivory Black: Empires darkest black.
Ivory Black is Empire's darkest black. Expect a clean and even darker representation of our classic black formula ideal for packing black with excellent saturation. Ivory Black's smooth consistent blend maintains a medium viscosity and contrasts well with warm skin tones.

We grind our pigments down extra fine to ensure the ink goes in the skin as smooth as possible. With the pigments being smaller this helps minimize the "pepper" effect you get with traditional inks. The smaller the pigment, the smaller the dot. With this system you will be able to get your desired gray tones with less effort
